Up to HUF 10 billion could be saved, the workload of nurses would be reduced and the comfort of several hundreds of thousands of Hungarian patients would significantly increase if the diapers, pads and incontinence products produced under the ISO standard were introduced for the treatment of patients with urine and faecal incontinence in Hungary. Personalised care was tested in a trial project in the Károlyi Sándor Hospital in Újpest, Budapest. The results show that all stakeholders can only benefit from using the special diapers.
